Theratronics Gammacell 40 ExactorThe Gammacell 40 Exactor (Best Theratronics Ltd.) uses dual Cs-137 sources to provide a consistent delivery of gamma radiation to the sample volume while minimizing exposure to the user.  The sample container is designed to accommodate multiple rodents and/or specimens in a single exposure with high uniformity and repeatability.

The primary features include:

  • Radiation source: Cesium-137 (dual)
  • Sample volume:  312 mm diameter, 105 mm height
  • Dose rate:  1.0 Gy/min (+/- 15%) at the center of the sample container
  • Dose uniformity:  +/- 7% over a 260 mm diameter and a 100 mm height
