Budgeting and Pre-Award Support

As a cloud-computing platform, there are costs that come with using the SHIRE. Many of the costs in the SHIRE are subsidized by UNC Health and the university. The charges passed on to researchers are consumption-based charges. Studies with just a few users and straightforward computing needs will have lower monthly costs. Studies with lots of users, big data, and using tools like large language models (LLM) will have higher costs.
