The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted a range of tensions at the interface of public policies and the private lives of individuals, including in the context of pregnancy. In this talk, Dr. Lyerly will highlight these tensions, foregrounding a resurgent debate about the extent to which individuals’ decisions about whether and under what circumstances to
become a parent can be shaped by issues of broader public concern.
