{"id":2504,"date":"2017-09-11T11:50:59","date_gmt":"2017-09-11T15:50:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/med-spo.sites.unc.edu\/?page_id=2504"},"modified":"2024-12-02T12:02:32","modified_gmt":"2024-12-02T17:02:32","slug":"final-research-performance-progress-report-frppr","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/spo\/spo-knows\/final-research-performance-progress-report-frppr\/","title":{"rendered":"Final Research Performance Progress Report (FRPPR)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>The Closeout process, which is completed in the eRA Commons, consists of three sections:<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Federal Financial Report (FFR) &#8211; Contact OSPBilling@unc.edu for help<\/li>\n<li>Final Invention Statement (FIS) &#8211; Contact OSPReporting@unc.edu for help<\/li>\n<li>Final Research Performance Progress Report (FRPPR) &#8211;\u00a0Contact grants@unc.edu for help<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>The information below will focus on the Final Research Performance Progress Report (FRPPR).<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Although the PI must be aware of the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/era.nih.gov\/erahelp\/Commons\/Commons\/rppr\/Interim_RPPR\/interim_RPPR_overview.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Interim-RPPR<\/a>&#8221; (IRPPR) application while a renewal application is under consideration.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>While the format of the FRPPR is the same as the current annual RPPR you need to be aware of three things<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><em><strong>The NIH has recently enabled the \u201cDelegate Authority\u201d feature on the FRPPR<\/strong><\/em>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha\">\n<li>This means that the departmental staff that has assisted the PI on the annual RPPR will continue to be able to assist the PI with the FRPPR:\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-roman\">\n<li>initiate the FRPPR<\/li>\n<li>input data into the FRPPR<\/li>\n<li>and route the FRPPR to the UNC Signing Official<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>The FRPPR must be submitted by a UNC Signing Official (eRA COMMONS SO Role).<\/em><\/strong>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha\">\n<li><em>The PI <strong>should NOT submit<\/strong> the FRPPR<\/em>\u00a0 even though the submit button is active as the NIH is looking for a submission from a UNC Signing Official.<\/li>\n<li>The PI should <strong>route the FRPPR to the Grants Analyst assigned to support your department.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The PI should contact the <em><strong>Sponsored Programs Office<\/strong> <\/em>if they have any questions.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong><a href=\"mailto:grants@unc.edu\">via email<\/a>\u00a0( <a href=\"mailto:grants@unc.edu\">grants@unc.edu<\/a> )<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>No RAMSeS IPF is required<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Instructions from NIH about how to initiate and submit your FRPPR can be found in two locations.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/era.nih.gov\/erahelp\/commons\/Commons\/status\/closeout\/Final_RPPR.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Direct link to eRA Commons (with screen shots)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/era.nih.gov\/docs\/COM_UGV2630.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Beginning on page 190 in\u00a0the eRA Commons User Guide<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>On the Cover Page of the FRPPR, most information is prepopulated.
