NIH can repay up to $50,000 a year of qualified educational debt through six different extramural programs.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lrp.nih.gov\/infographics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NIH Interactive Roadmap<\/a> for guidance on the LRP application process<\/li>\n<li>Refer to the NIH LRP webpage for full <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lrp.nih.gov\/eligibility-programs#ProgramsEligibilityEligibilityTile\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Eligibility requirements<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>NIH application cycle is September 1, 2023 through November 16, 2023. In order to complete your application by the deadline, the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) requires a completed <a href=\"https:\/\/research.unc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/61\/2023\/09\/OSP-NIH-LRP-Certificaton-Form_2023.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UNC Loan Repayment Program Certification Form<\/a> (UNC LRP Form) to be submitted to our office by Friday, November 10.<\/p>\n<p>UNC Submission Process<\/p>\n<p>Reminders for completing the NIH LRP application<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicants should complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lrp.nih.gov\/apply\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LRP application online<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Applicants should <strong>choose Amanda Chang as the Institutional Business Official (IBO) using SponsoredPrograms@unc.edu<\/strong> as the email address<\/li>\n<li><strong>UNC IBO eRA Commons ID is AMANDA_CHANG<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Reminders for completing the UNC LRP Form<br \/>\nThe <a href=\"https:\/\/research.unc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/61\/2023\/09\/OSP-NIH-LRP-Certificaton-Form_2023.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UNC Loan Repayment Program Certification Form<\/a> does not open in a web browser. Clicking the link will automatically save the form to your computer\u2019s Download folder where you can open it using Adobe.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>UNC LRP Form is <strong>due to OSP by Friday, November 10, 2023<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Applicants should complete all fields and obtain all departmental signatures<\/li>\n<li>Completed UNC LRP Form is submitted to SponsoredPrograms@unc.edu<\/li>\n<li>Once the UNC LRP Form is received and reviewed, OSP will certify the applicant\u2019s information in the NIH LRP system prior to the NIH deadline<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>REMINDER: The LRP online application is incomplete unless certified by UNC\u2019s institutional business official.
