About Christopher:

Why did you choose burn surgery?

I have always had an interest in wounds and in particular burns wounds. The nature of these type of injuries has always fascinated me as well as the importance of physical mobility and therapies in the healing process and successful recovery.

What is your philosophy of care or approach to patient care?

Treat the patient in relation to the injury that they present with. Each patient has their own set of requirements, physical, psychological, emotional and social. Medical care and the subsequent treatment, should be tailored to these individual needs. There is never a one size fits all approach. We as providers should recognize this, and adapt surgical interventions/treatment therapies that facilitate an individualized optimal recovery.
