About
Dr. Howard E. Kashefsky, DPM, is a podiatrist and Associate Professor in the Division of Vascular Surgery at the UNC School of Medicine. He serves as Director of Podiatry Services and specializes in diabetic foot management, wound healing, limb preservation, and injuries of the foot and ankle. Dr. Kashefsky is dedicated to improving patient mobility and quality of life through comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Dr. Kashefsky has participated in clinical trials related to wound care in the early part of my career and currently have been collaborating on NIH funded projects related to human movement and balance related to aging and pathology.
Personal life: “I have experience in many sports which helps me relate to patient experiences and develop a detailed plan of care. In addition for fun I spend time working on vintage automobile resotration. I enjoy spending free time with my family and you may see me at UNC variuos sporting events cheering on the Tar Heels.”
