January 10, 2011 — Anthony Meyer, MD, PhD, Chair of the Department of Surgery, has been appointed to the 2011 Board of Directors of UNC Hospitals SECU Family House.
The SECU Family House, located on Old Mason Farm Road in Chapel Hill, provides housing and hospitality to the families of adult patients being treated at UNC Hospitals. The Division of Abdominal Transplant was instrumental in the construction of the 32-bedroom and eight-suite facility. Transplant Chief David Gerber, MD, served on the Board from 2005 through 2010.
