At UNC-Chapel Hill, the surgical team will consist of an attending Pediatric Surgeon, a fifth-year resident (chief resident), a third-year resident and a first-year resident in general surgery. The team will also include a Advanced Practice Nurses or Physician’s Assistants who are an important liaison between people taking care of your child. As part of their education, UNC-Chapel Hill medical students will be visiting your child.
