Patient Transfer Information<\/h2>\n

Patient Logistics Center (inpatient transfers): 984-974-2000
\nCarolina Consultation Center (phone consults): 800-862-6264*<\/p>\n

*Effective 11\/1\/2022 The UNC Carolina Consultation Center (CCC) will no longer facilitate any consult requests.\u00a0 The CCC phone number (800 862 6264) will remain operational and routing appropriately.<\/strong>\u00a0 Inpatient transfer requests will route to the UNC Patient Logistics Center.\u00a0 Consult requests for 1) mutual patients (defined as: an established relationship with both the referring provider and the requested specialty) or 2) outpatient pediatrics will route to the UNC Med Telecomm (Hospital Operator) team.<\/em><\/p>\n

Alternatively, CareLink Access (unccarelink.org<\/a>) allows providers to reach UNC specialists electronically as appropriate.\u00a0 UNC no longer offers phone based consultation for adult services nor pediatric Neurology.<\/em><\/p>\n

Community based physicians and their staff who would like to utilize our electronic referral portal or gain secure, read-only access to UNC\u2019s electronic medical records system may request a UNC CareLink account at unccarelink.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n
