We have had to rethink every aspect of our daily lives &#8211; how and where we work, care for our children, run our errands, connect with family \u2013 and the list goes on. Having to pivot daily in order to adjust to these challenges has an effect on our emotional and physical health and well-being.\u00a0 UNC Health proudly offers a variety of well-being resources to support you through the day-to-day stressors during this unprecedented time. Please use this roadmap with embedded links to guide you through the myriad of well-being options to help you care for those who care for others.<\/p>\n<h2\n\t         id=\"newspaper-o\"\n\t         class=\"icon center fa-newspaper-o\">Wellness Committee<\/h2>\n<p>The main role of a wellness committee is to communicate, participate, motivate, and support the organization\u2019s worksite wellness program in order to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create a healthy worksite and a culture of wellness<\/li>\n<li>Foster collaboration and enthusiasm among employees<\/li>\n<li>Provide a communication \u201clink\u201d between employees and management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Organizations that create a wellness committee benefit in several ways.<br \/>\nThe committee is able to help:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Represent and share co-workers\u2019 ideas and concerns<\/li>\n<li>Reshape the company\u2019s culture to promote healthy living<\/li>\n<li>Encourage a positive work environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The committee is made up of a peer group of employees who guide wellness information and activities for their worksite wellness program. In effect, the committee member becomes a wellness \u201cchampion\u201d responsible for promoting the organization\u2019s goal of keeping teammates and their families healthy.
