You may contact your medical school or the <a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aamc.org\/students\/medstudents\/eras\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ERAS web site<\/a> for additional information regarding the process. Use code number 190019 for the five-year, categorical, program; and code number 190018 for the one or two-year, preliminary, program.<\/p>\n<h2>Additional Requirements<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Three letters of recommendation\u00a0from surgical faculty at your institution or with whom you worked with recently during your training<\/li>\n<li>Scores from Step 1 of the USMLE<\/li>\n<li>Personal Statement<\/li>\n<li>Curriculum Vitae<\/li>\n<li>Dean\u2019s letter with transcript<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If you are accepted for residency in one of our surgical specialties, you are automatically accepted for the year(s) in Preliminary General Surgery.
