Jake Ritt, MD
BS, George Washington University
MD, Ross University School of Medicine
Resident, Drexel University College of Medicine
I completed my bachelor of science degree in biology at The George Washington University, followed by medical school at Ross University, and completed my internal medicine residency at Drexel University/Hahnemann University Hospital. I look forward to focusing on patients with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and the seronrgative spondyloarthropathies. I went in to medicine because I was always science-oriented throughout high school and college, but I also enjoyed the human aspect about being able to directly impact someone’s life. Rheumatology marries those two interests quite well, and has been very challenging and rewarding for me.
My long-term career goals are to go into private practice where I can thrive in one particular community for decades to come. I want to lay roots in a community and become a leader amongst my neighbors where I am well respected for my contributions to the people I treat on a day-to-day basis. My personal interests include sports, both watching and playing, going to live concerts and stand up comedy shows, and competing in trivia contests.
