Humans have over\u00a0500 protein kinases that control cell signaling by modifying proteins with a phosphoryl group in a process called phosphorylation. Their dysfunction has been linked to a variety of human diseases from arthritis to cancer making\u00a0them targets for past, current, and future drug development.<\/p>\n<p>The software tool that Dr. Phanstiel\u2019s team developed provides new paradigms for visualizing data across all protein kinases at once, and improves our ability to understand signaling, protein phosphorylation,
