Brief Description: I will use this talk to introduce a relatively new line of research in my laboratory- working to understand the multi-scale neuromechanics of quadriceps dysfunction and the pathogenesis of knee osteoarthritis. I will also summarize the origins and evolution of that research in the broader scope of our work to develop more effective translational efforts to preserve walking ability and prevent falls in our rapidly aging population.<\/p>\n
