In addition to serving as the center&#8217;s director, Dr. Tarran is the leader of both Project I and the Administrative and Bioanalysis Core.<\/p>\n<p>In <a class=\"internal-link\" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/tcors-lung\/research-projects\/the-effect-of-netps-on-lung-hydration-and-inflammation\/\" target=\"_self\">Project I<\/a>, Dr. Tarran&#8217;s research is focused on understanding the effect of new and emerging tobacco products (NETPs) on lung hydration. As part of the <a class=\"internal-link\" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/tcors-lung\/core-facilities\/administrative-and-bioanalysis-core\/\" target=\"_self\">Administrative and Bioanalysis Core<\/a>, Dr. Tarran oversees a team of research coordinators, biostatisticians and bioinformaticians to ensure the overall research aims of the center are met and the generated results are scientifically valid.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Tarran has several open post-doctoral positions.
