Abacus Evaluation partners with the North Carolina Institute for Public Health (NCIPH) across multiple projects like the Coverdell Stroke Program Evaluation, Burke County Mental Health Collaboratory, and the Public Health Infrastructure Grant (PHIG) to provide evaluation expertise and capacity building assistance. For Burke, Abacus delivers skill building workshops to the Burke County opioid response team and public health department to inform their program evaluation and improvement efforts. With PHIG, Abacus evaluates workforce development programs to improve and advance strategic investments in leadership, accountability, communications and policy development, so that local health departments can effectively serve as the backbones of community health across the state.
Through these projects, Abacus and NCIPH strive to build and prepare a stronger and more competent public health workforce.
