Dr. Kennedy has contributed to the development and implementation of a wide range of research programs, having experience with basic science, observational studies, translational and implementation research, pragmatic trials, and randomized controlled clinical trials. She has 20 years of experience as an investigator and director coordinating multi-center clinical research in the field of allergy and asthma; working in academia, professional medical institutions, and private companies including a CRO; with funding awarded from foundations, and government contracts and grants.

Dr. Kennedy has led multi-center clinical investigations that include diverse, impoverished, underrepresented populations across the country, from inner cities to remote areas in Hawaii and Puerto Rico. She understands the trust and mutual beneficial relationship building that is required to obtain protected information and deliver evidence-based care to diverse populations. She has also led multi-institutional clinical research in highly chaotic environments, including providing guideline-based environmental asthma interventions to children in need in post-disaster Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans.

Most recently, she performed feasibility and acceptability research on wellbeing in high-stress environments. In her role with the CRA, Dr. Kennedy provides executive oversight for planning, coordination, execution, and performance analysis of CRA programs and studies, as well as publication and dissemination of research outcomes. Working with a team of experts to support the CRA clinical operational infrastructure, Dr. Kennedy is helping to lead the CRA in providing efficient, quality coordinating center operational management and oversight of multi-site clinical trials that benefit the diverse populations we serve.
