We are pleased to announce that Dr. Sherry Ross was appointed the Medical Director for the UNC Hospital’s Children’s Specialty Clinic. In this role, Dr. Ross will be responsible for coordinating with providers and hospital leadership in efforts to improve clinical outcomes, patient safety, throughput, and patient/provider experience at each of the Specialty Clinic.

About Dr. Ross
Dr. Ross joined the Department of Urology in June of 2014 and is currently an Associate Professor and the Vice Chief of Pediatric Urology.
Additionally, Dr. Ross has served as the Director of Ambulatory Services in Pediatric Surgical Services and has been working within the North Carolina Children’s Hospital to improve efficiency in pediatric surgery services and to expand services in outreach clinics throughout the state.
Recently, Dr. Ross was nominated and selected to participate in the Academic Career Leadership Academy in Medicine (ACCLAIM); a program that aims to address leadership development opportunities for female and underrepresented minority faculty. The ACCLAIM program occurs over a year and utilizes a multi-faceted approach in collaboration with the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health.
