We join with the Wilson community focusing particularly on issues affecting black men.<\/p>\n<p>Our distinguished panel of speakers includes talks with three prostate cancer survivors: Local legend Phil Ford of basketball fame, community advocates Victor Taylor and Dennis Williams as well as an informational discussion with UNC Urologist Dr. Eric Wallen.<\/p>\n<p>One of our supporters, LabCorp, will be onsite, offering men free blood draws to assess essential health metrics such as prostate-specific antigen (PSA), the blood sugar test Hemoglobin A1C, and cholesterol levels.<\/p>\n<p>The Prostate Health Education Network (PHEN) will also be participating &#8211; providing educational material to all those in attendance.<\/p>\n<p>We are grateful to our community partners: Jackson Chapel First Missionary Baptist Church, Calvary Presbyterian Church, St. John A.M.E. Zion Church, Councilman Derrick D. Creech, and Arms Around Wilson.<\/p>\n<p>We invite you to join us to educate and engage in men&#8217;s health in a journey towards wellness.
