Dr. Matthew Nielsen was selected as one of two recipients of the three-year, $101,000 2013 Urology Care Foundation/Astellas Rising Stars in Urology Research Award, based on his successful competition for an externally funded, peer-reviewed career development award.
In his qualifying Mentored Research Scholar Grant from the American Cancer Society, “Optimizing survivorship and decision-making in low risk bladder cancer,” Dr. Nielsen will be mentored by Michael Pignone and Dr. Raj Pruthi (UNC) as well as Evan Myers (Duke), Ann Zauber (Memorial Sloan-Kettering), Brian Denton (University of Michigan) and Brett Hauber (RTI Health Solutions).
