Culley C. Carson III, MD, FACS, Rhodes Distinguished Professor of Urology and former Chief of Urology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, recently received the St. Paul’s Medal from the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS). Created in 1989, the St. Paul’s Medal is the Association’s highest award for contributions to the field of Urology by a non-British citizen.

Dr. Carson has published more than two hundred peer review publications and conducts research at UNC in the area of Men’s Health, including Erectile Dysfunction, Peyronie’s Disease, and penile prostheses. He also currently serves in a number of national and international professional capacities, including as President of the American Society for Men’s Health and Congress President for the International Society of Men’s Health. He previously served as President of the Sexual Medicine Society of North America and President of the Southeastern Section of the American Urological Association.
