UNC Urology is pleased to welcome Jamie Jarmul, MD, PhD, as Research Affiliate Faculty member.
Dr. Jarmul serves as Medical Director for Advanced Population Health Analytics within UNC Health Alliance, UNC Health’s physician-led clinically integrated network and population health services organization. In this role, she leads advanced analytics initiatives focused on program evaluation, return-on-investment analysis of clinical interventions and technologies, risk adjustment validation, and evaluation of network and contract performance.
A graduate of the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health (PhD, Health Policy & Management, Decision Sciences and Outcomes Research, 2017) and the UNC School of Medicine (MD, 2019), Dr. Jarmul brings expertise in population health analytics, healthcare delivery science, value-based care evaluation, quasi-experimental methods, informatics, and cost-effectiveness modeling.
Her professional focus centers on transforming healthcare systems to make it easier for clinicians and care teams to deliver patient-centered, safe, timely, evidence-based, inclusive, and cost-effective care. Through her work within UNC Health Alliance Dr. Jarmul helps advance data-driven strategies that improve quality outcomes and strengthen value-based payment models.
As Research Affiliate Faculty, Dr. Jarmul will continue to collaborate with UNC Urology faculty on population health analytics, quality improvement initiatives, care pathway evaluation, and system redesign efforts—further aligning urologic care delivery with UNC Health’s broader value transformation strategy.
