The Floyd A. Fried Advances in Urology Symposium will be held virtually on June 18th and 19th, 2021. Smoking is the only preventable cause of bladder cancer and is a well-known risk for complications. Continued cigarette use increases the risk of bladder cancer coming back. The risk association between e-cigarettes and smokeless tobacco and bladder cancer is less well known. People who use electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) may have similar carcinogens in their urine as cigarette smokers that are linked to bladder cancer, according to study findings published in European Urology Oncology.
