This all-in-one solution is currently one of the most advanced medical MRI-Ultrasound fusion system for providing accuracy at every step of the prostate cancer patient journey from biopsy and active surveillance to treatment and follow-up.<\/p>\n<p class=\"lead\">At the end of April 2022, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/urology\/directory\/marc-bjurlin-do\/\">Dr. Marc Bjurlin<\/a> performed the first\u00a0transperineal\u00a0MRI-Ultrasound fusion prostate biopsies utilizing this new, sophisticated image-guided system.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<script>\n\n    (function($) {\n        $(\"body, html\").addClass(\"heels_full_width_overflow\");\n    })(jQuery);\n\n   <\/script>\n   <div style=\"background-color:#4b9cd3;\" class=\"full-width-contained whitebackground \">\n<div class=\"row  oscitas-bootstrap-container\">\n<div class=\"col-lg-9 col-md-8 col-xs-12 col-sm-6 oscitas-bootstrap-container\">\n<blockquote style=\"border-left: 5px solid #ffffff;\">\n<p class=\"lead\" style=\"color: #ffffff;\">\u201cThis new biopsy approach reduces the risk of infection, reduces risk of procedure-related bleeding, and increases the rate of detecting cancers, particularly in the anterior prostate.
