In this new role, Dr. Smith will be responsible for leading initiatives aimed at enhancing the professional growth and development of faculty members within the school.<\/p>\n<p class=\"lead\">Dr. Smith brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this new role. Her extensive background in the field of urology and her commitment to advancing the field has earned her recognition and accolades within the academic and medical communities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"lead\">Most recently, Dr. Smith was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/urology\/angela-smith-md-ms-promoted-to-professor-with-tenure\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">promoted to Professor with Tenure<\/a>, a recognition of her exceptional contributions to the field of urology and her dedication to providing the highest level of care to her patients. Prior to this, she also recently received the prestigious <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/urology\/american-urological-association-honors-smith-with-gold-cystoscope-award\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Gold Cystoscope Award from the American Urological Association<\/a>, an honor given to individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of urology.<\/p>\n<p class=\"lead\">Throughout her career, Dr. Smith has been dedicated to mentoring and empowering the next generation of medical professionals. Her passion for education and leadership development, combined with her experience in the field of urology, make her the ideal candidate for this new role.<\/p>\n<p class=\"lead\">We are thrilled for Dr. Smith to enter this new role and are confident that she will be key in advancing the school&#8217;s efforts to provide faculty members with the support and resources they need to succeed.
