{"id":137,"date":"2015-08-27T15:50:00","date_gmt":"2015-08-27T19:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/med.sites.unc.edu\/vironomics\/?p=137"},"modified":"2017-12-19T15:34:46","modified_gmt":"2017-12-19T20:34:46","slug":"2015-qc-plots","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/vironomics\/2015-qc-plots\/","title":{"rendered":"2015 QC Plots"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- description --><\/p>\n<p class=\"lead\">The 2015 QC plots are available for the 454 (updated) and the Ion Torrent PGM (new)<\/p>\n<div class=\"image-section\">\n<\/div>\n<p>With a lot more runs for the 454 GSJunior, we have updated our QC plot for 2015:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/vironomics\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/504\/2017\/11\/aug2015-qc_454-hz.png\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; \" title=\"Aug2015-QC_454-hz\" height=\"400\" width=\"600\" alt=\"Aug2015-QC_454-hz\" class=\"image-inline\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, the 700+ basepair runs are no longer supported.  However, an average of >100,000 thousand reads with a mean of 450+ bp per run is more than ideal.<\/p>\n<p>We also have enough runs on the Ion Torrent PGM (chip 318v2) for its first QC plot:<br \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/vironomics\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/504\/2017\/11\/aug2015-qc_pgm-hz.png\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; \" title=\"Aug2015-QC_PGM-hz\" height=\"400\" width=\"604\" alt=\"PGM (chip 318v2) QC plot \" class=\"image-inline\"\/>As you can see, we&#8217;re getting used to the new machine.
