How the Cells Plugin Works<\/h2>\n

The Cells plugin allows you to create pre-designed sections of content that can be placed anywhere on your website. Here\u2019s how the process works:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. You create content within the plugin.<\/li>\n
  2. The plugin generates a unique shortcode<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  3. You place that shortcode on the page where you want the content to appear.<\/li>\n
  4. When the page loads, WordPress reads the shortcode and displays the content from the referenced cell.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    If you need to update content, make those edits in the plugin where the content lives<\/strong>, not in the page that displays it.<\/p>\n

    If you delete a shortcode, the displayed content disappears from the page but the source content still exists in the plugin.<\/p>\n

    Checking if the Plugin Is Activated<\/h2>\n

    Before you can create a Cell, make sure the plugin is active on your site. Log into your web site and look at the admin bar located across the top of a page. If you see a Cells<\/strong> link, then the plugin has already been activated.<\/p>\n

    Alternatively, you can look for a Cells<\/strong> link in the dashboard. If you see one, then the plugin has been activated.<\/p>\n

    Activating the Plugin<\/h2>\n

    Only users with the\u00a0Administrator role<\/a> can activate plugins. If you don\u2019t have this role, contact your site Administrator for assistance.<\/p>\n

    1. From the dashboard or admin bar, select Plugins<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    2. Find UNCSOM Cells<\/strong> in the list of available plugins.<\/li>\n
    3. Click the Activate<\/strong> link located under the plugin name.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Only enable plugins that your site actively uses<\/strong>. Unused plugins can slow your site and increase maintenance overhead.<\/p>\n
