There are several ways to create a new page in the School of Medicine (SOM) web system. This guide walks you through each option and provides tips for choosing a clear, effective page title.<\/p>\n

Ways to Create a New Page<\/h2>\n

Option 1: From the Dashboard<\/h3>\n

  1. Navigate to the Dashboard (the backend of your site).<\/li>\n
  2. In the left-hand menu, click\u00a0Pages<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. There are a couple of ways to add a page:\n

    1. Click the\u00a0Add Page<\/strong>\u00a0link under Pages in the left menu,\u00a0or<\/strong><\/li>\n
    2. Click the\u00a0Add Page button<\/strong>\u00a0at the top of the Pages screen.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    3. This creates a new blank page.<\/li>\n
    4. Provide a good page title (explained below).<\/li>\n
    5. Return to the Pages<\/a> documentation to continue the full page-building process (adding content, setting navigation, accessibility checks, etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n

      1. Locate the + New<\/strong> button in the admin bar located across the top of every page. You must be logged in to see it.<\/li>\n
      2. Hover over + New<\/strong>\u00a0and select Page<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
      3. This creates a new blank page.<\/li>\n
      4. Provide a good page title (explained below).<\/li>\n
      5. Return to the Pages<\/a> documentation to continue the full page-building process (adding content, setting navigation, accessibility checks, etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
