It is <strong>not<\/strong> intended to function as a secure application platform, file storage system, learning management system, or eCommerce environment.<\/p>\n<p>The following types of content are <strong>not permitted<\/strong> within the SOM web system.<\/p>\n<h2>Custom JavaScript or Application Code<\/h2>\n<p>Custom JavaScript functions, embedded scripts, or third-party application code are not allowed.\u00a0If your project requires advanced functionality beyond standard WordPress capabilities, contact the Web Team to discuss appropriate alternatives.<\/p>\n<h2>Copyrighted Material<\/h2>\n<p>Do not upload or publish copyrighted material unless you have explicit permission or the material is licensed for reuse.\u00a0Link to the original source instead of uploading the file.<\/p>\n<p>View our related <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/webguide\/userguide\/media\/documents\/journals\/\"><strong>Sharing Journals &amp; Copyright Concerns<\/strong><\/a> documentation.<\/p>\n<h2>Forms Collecting Sensitive Information<\/h2>\n<p>The SOM web system is not a secure data collection platform.<\/p>\n<p>For research, clinical, or secure data collection, use approved platforms such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Qualtrics<\/li>\n<li>NC TraCS<\/li>\n<li>PRO Core<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Refer to the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/webguide\/userguide\/web-standards-policies\/data-security\/\">Data Security<\/a><\/strong> page and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/webguide\/userguide\/forms\/\">Forms<\/a><\/strong> documentation for more information.<\/p>\n<h2>Course Materials<\/h2>\n<p>The SOM web system is not intended to serve as a course management system.
