Welcome!
Hey Class of 2027!! We are so excited you’ve chosen to start your medical career with us here at UNC! It’s been a tradition at UNC School of Medicine to welcome our new Tar Heels with a Welcome Weekend full of ice breakers, games, and a day at the lake. We are so grateful that we will be able to celebrate with everyone in person this year and we look forward to all of the events we have planned! This will be a fun opportunity to get to know your classmates and some awesome MS2s before orientation.
We are looking forward to welcoming y’all in a few short weeks!!
What: First Year Field Day!
When: Saturday July 29th, 4pm-7:30pm
Where: The Farm (1 Alice Ingram Circle Chapel Hill, NC 27517)
How to get there: parking is super limited!! coordinate carpooling with this spreadsheet
What to expect: games, bonding, laughter, competition, fun, joy, and FREE DINNER!
What to wear: comfy/athletic clothes, shoes you can move around in, and a smile
ps: sunscreen is always recommended because it’s important but we will mostly be under a covered pavilion so no need to go overboard!
