Mission and Vision

Mission – To promote communication, coordination and collaboration between SOM students and IT leaders
Vision – A lockstep partnership between medical students and IT leaders that promotes and provides solutions that directly benefit the scholarship and experience of medical students at UNC SOM

Goals

  • Provide communication channels between medical students and IT leaders including quarterly meetings and an MS Teams group
  • Create and conduct an annual Student Technology Survey, interpret the results, recommend next steps, and report on progress
  • Bring emerging issues to the attention of IT leadership
  • Solicit student input on strategic IT projects
  • Explore emerging technology for use in Medical Education
  • Provide solutioning for complex issues related to technology in Medical Education
  • Participate in special projects related to technology in Medical Education
