microscope room, and a feed prep room.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Aquaculture Room<\/strong> (cir. 2016; 510 sqft ), containing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Centralized Aquatic System (Tecniplast)\n<ul>\n<li>18 adult aquaculture racks with a capacity of 3,080 liters and 15,400\u00a0fish<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-2499 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/zebrafish\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1353\/2024\/02\/20151112_155007-150x150-1.jpg\" alt=\"zebrafish facility\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/li>\n<li>two (2) nursery racks with a capacity of 198 liters and ~6,000 fry<\/li>\n<li>one (1) genotyping rack with a capacity of 288 individually housed fish<\/li>\n<li>drum filter<\/li>\n<li>three (3) water pumps<\/li>\n<li>two (2) heaters<\/li>\n<li>automated dosing systems for salt and pH adjustments<\/li>\n<li>carbon\/particulate\/UV filters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>five (5) Tritone auto-feeding robots<\/li>\n<li>one (1) iSpawn for mass embryo generation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>New Aquaculture System<\/strong> (cir. 2021), spanning (4) rooms:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The system room contains double the Tecniplast equipment of the Main system<\/li>\n<li>The (4) holding rooms each have 7-8 racks<\/li>\n<li>The system has the capacity to double the number of racks and we have (1.5) extra rooms to build out when needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Procedure Room<\/strong> <strong>I<\/strong> (128 sqft), containing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>two (2) microinjection stations, each with a Leica S6E stereomicroscope and Sutter Instruments Picospritzer III injectors (Drummond Nanoject II also available)<\/li>\n<li>a Parker Instruments needle puller<\/li>\n<li>a cell transplantation apparatus<\/li>\n<li>a 13.2 cuft air incubator for embryo rearing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Fluorescence Microscopy Room<\/strong> (81 sqft ), equipped with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>one (1) Zeiss Axiozoom.V16 fluorescence stereomicroscope, equipped with color digital camera and computer<\/li>\n<li>one (1) Leica M205C fluorescence stereomicroscope, equipped with high-speed monochrome fluorescence digital camera and computer<\/li>\n<li>one (1) Leica M16FA fluorescence stereomicroscope, equipped with color digital camera and computer<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2640
