Linnstaedt Lab members Erica, Ishani and Lauren publish their article “CpG Methylation Levels in HPA Axis Genes Predict Chronic Pain Outcomes Following Trauma Exposure” in The Journal of Pain (PMID: 36906051), and was selected as the Featured Article for July 2023!    

The Linnstaedt Lab received a grant from Cures Within Reach to fund a pilot randomized clinical trial aimed at testing feasibility and safety of administering 17β-estradiol to women trauma survivors in the early aftermath of traumatic stress exposure to prevent chronic posttraumatic pain and enduring stress symptoms.   Read more here. 

Lauren attended the North American Pain School (NAPS) in Montebello, Canada, where the leading experts in the fields of pain research and management meet to provide a unique educational and networking experience for the next generation of basic science and clinical pain researchers.

The Linnstaedt Lab attended the 2023 United States Association for the Study of Pain meeting at Duke University where Lauren, Tina, Rhea, and Leo presented posters of their research.

Sarah and Lauren visited collaborator Sandrine Géranton’s lab at the University College London where they attended and presented at the FKBP51 meeting at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry in Munich Germany.
