BIOSKETCH
Dr. Greer received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2001, her Masters in Nursing Anesthesia from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2009 and her Doctorate in Nursing Anesthesia Practice from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2010. She worked as a registered nurse for six years before returning to graduate school to pursue a degree and career in nursing anesthesia. Since becoming a CRNA, Amanda worked at a hospital in Richmond, Virginia before coming to UNC Hospitals in 2011. She covers all areas of anesthesia services including pediatric and adult populations both in the operating rooms and outlying areas in the hospital. Amanda is originally from Brevard, North Carolina. She is married and has one child with one on the way. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and biking and spending time with her family.
