Operational Project Manager APP Student Placements, Contracts, Compliance and Onboarding

Jane Kerwin joined the UNC APP Center in a newly created Operational Project Manager position, to develop a centralized placement process for PA, NP, CNM and CRNA student clinical rotations at UNC Medical Center. Previously, Jane led the Clinical Support Division at the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Nursing where she helped develop and implement an electronic process for clinical rotations for NP, DNP and BSN students, including negotiating the terms of clinical affiliation agreements and verifying nursing students’ compliance and credentials.

Jane began her career in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she was a prosecutor and legal instructor. When she moved to NC with her husband and four children, she became the coordinator of a pro bono project that collaborated with UNC law students, North Carolina Central University law students and a volunteer team of practicing NC attorneys. Jane looks forward to continuing to work with students, school coordinators and UNC Medical Center to develop a streamlined clinical placement process that works efficiently for all parties involved.
