SnapGene
UNC-Chapel Hill has a site-license for SnapGene package. This license is subject to number of total installs. SnapGene is available for multiple operating systems. (PC, macOS, Ubuntu and RedHat).

NOTE 1: If you want to use SnapGene from an off-campus location you will need to use “UNCSNAP” VPN group, when you initially sign-in to UNC-VPN. You normally use “UNCCampus” group to log in. Please send an email to sophia_kennedy@med.unc.edu, since I will need to give your onyen access to this group.This VPN group is setup to properly allow authentication with SnapGene license servers (which are hosted by SnapGene) when you are off-campus.
NOTE 2: In order to successfully install and register your copy of SnapGene make sure that you are connected to Eduroam/wired network. UNC-Guest wireless network will NOT work.
