Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is associated with both venous thrombosis and bleeding. However, the mediators underlying these complications have not yet been elucidated. We have recently developed a mouse xenograft model of AML that mimics human disease, and we are currently establishing a mouse allograft model of AML. Using these models, we aim to investigate the mechanisms by which AML induces venous thrombosis and bleeding.
