Here are 3 ways to get involved!

Monthly Insulin Education Clinic: One Saturday morning per month (8a-12p), we provide individualized patient education that is free of cost. We discuss medication adherence, diet and exercise goals, and try to answer any questions that the patients have. There is always room for learners and volunteers, and it’s a great way to get involved from the start.

Monthly Diabetes Education Group Visits: One Thursday evening per month (5p-7p), we host a group visit with patients in order to cultivate community and support for those managing diabetes. The patients have insightful ways to teach each other, and we could always use help with facilitation.

Diabetes Education Home Visits: These are so fun and rewarding! We set up various home visits for patients who have barriers to care. We discuss any questions the patients have and/or strategize how to better manage their diabetes.

Anyone with Spanish proficiency would be a wonderful help at all or some of these.
