Dr. Farooq is an Internal Medicine Physician who completed his Internal Medicine training at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, an affiliate Weil Cornell Medicine. Dr. Farooq obtained his Medical Doctorate from St. George’s University with Magna Cum Lade.  During his residency, his campus underwent a transition to Epic, engendering an interest in electronic medical records and emerging technologies as a solution to many of the challenges within clinical care.  Throughout his residency he worked within a research collaborative with comparative analysis neural networks using various heart failure subset data.   Dr. Farooq has an array of interests encompassed within the broad field of clinical informatics including but not limited to process improvement, health economics, data utilization and clinical decision support.  Dr. Farooq hopes to take his training in Clinical Informatics to contribute to sustainable and solvent processes within health systems and improve measurable outcomes for involved stakeholders.

Dr. Farooq’s interests beyond Internal Medicine and Clinical Informatics include resistance training, spending times with his wife and newborn son, and exploring the triangle food scene.
