The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center will serve as the Midwest regional Hub. The College of Medicine has a state-of-the-art simulation center with over a decade of POCUS simulation, training, and experience. The simulation center includes over a dozen cart-based ultrasound machines, a needle simulator, and anatomy and pathology simulator (EVE). Ohio State has an intensive medical student ultrasound curriculum, and many students serve as trained simulated ultrasound patients, a mutually beneficial program to students learning clinical medicine and faculty/trainees learning POCUS.

Ohio State has been a leader in POCUS and family medicine POCUS with an established POCUS fellowship with a family medicine track. A total of 6 fellows have been trained at Ohio State and now practice in various domains including academics, global health, and community medicine.

Ones in the “University Area” are closest. The “shuttle to the hospital” option are a great choice because the shuttle drops off at the SIM center where training will take place.
