About
Anthony M. Recidoro, DO, FAAFP, is an Associate Program Director of the Family Medicine Residency at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton. He also holds an academic appointment as Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
Dr. Recidoro is a board-certified family physician and Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians whose academic interests focus on graduate medical education, faculty development, and point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) integration across training levels. He serves as a member of the STFM POCUS Education Taskforce as part of Project FOCUS (Finding Consensus for POCUS Standards in Family Medicine Education and Competency-Based Assessment).
Before his current role, Dr. Recidoro directed the POCUS curriculum at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, where he taught structured rotation and advanced ultrasound electives, improving resident competency and faculty engagement. His leadership at both Jacksonville and Camp Pendleton has helped shape standardized ultrasound education across Navy Family Medicine programs. Dr. Recidoro’s scholarly work includes publications in FP Essentials and American Family Physician, as well as numerous presentations at the STFM and the Uniformed Services Academy of Family Physicians. A graduate of the University of Washington and Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences, he completed his Family Medicine Residency at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, where he was Chief Resident. His work reflects a dedication to advancing ultrasound education, evidence-based practice, and academic excellence in military medicine.
