About

Molly Hoss is a clinical Associate Professor with the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Colorado Family Medicine Residency (UCFMR).  She works on the inpatient Family Medicine service and in clinic while teaching the residents. She completed her residency training and Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship at John Peter Smith Family Medicine Residency.  This is where she developed her expertise in obstetric and pelvic ultrasound.  She attended several national POCUS courses to hone her POCUS skills and completed a Train the Ultrasound Trainer Course.   She became the director of ultrasound education for the residency.   She completed the Teaching Scholars Program, which is an 18-month faculty development program, and from this created an ultrasound curriculum, which she has continued to improve since 2019.   She has served on the UCHealth Clinical Ultrasound Competency and Credentialing Policy Committee and currently serves on the the UCHealth Hospital POCUS Committee.

 

POCUS Teaching Experience

  • Local: POCUS Education Director at the University of Colorado Family Medicine Residency, teaching both residents and faculty.
  • Local: Instructs medical students in POCUS at the University of Colorado School of Medicine
  • Regional: Teaches at Colorado Academy of Family Physicians Conferences
