3-Day POCUS Workshop | Tiers 1-5 | Chapel Hill, NC
This 3-day course covers all 52 applications (all 5 tiers) of the Family Medicine POCUS Blueprint, established through Delphi and Nominal Group methodology at UNC-Chapel Hill with funding and support from the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine and the American Board of Family Medicine Foundation. The course offers a maximum of 20 educational hours and includes hands-on, interactive learning with a low instructor-to-learner ratio of 3:1 to maximize your learning experience. Participants will engage in live model scanning, ultrasound simulators, and didactic lectures. Participants will have access to cart-based and handheld ultrasound machines during hands-on learning to allow them to explore different equipment options for clinical use.
This workshop is ideal for learners who want to experience and practice the high-yield POCUS applications most relevant to family medicine. It is designed for those interested not only in mastering image acquisition and performing scans but also in understanding how to clinically integrate POCUS findings into real-world patient care across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
