Sara is a Research Specialist with the Nicotine Dependence Program through the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. She coordinates clinical research and evaluation initiatives and is working on the implementation of an online tobacco cessation intervention with cancer patients. Previously Sara worked in various program management and research support roles at UNC and with global development nonprofit organizations. Sara completed dual Masters degrees in Public Health and Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2016 and had a previous life writing and traveling the world. Sara is interested in helping people find the right approaches to achieve their personal, family, and community health goals, and is interested in utilizing online communication tools to reach more people and encourage positive health outcomes.
