  • Angel (Caroon) Woodard (’93) awoodard@carolina.rr.com “I worked as lead tech at a satellite clinic for Presbyterian Hospital/Novant Health in Charlotte,NC from 1993-1999. I found out that I had cancer, Hodgkins Lymphoma, in Nov. 1999 and underwent the standard chemotherapy. I went back to work in June of 2000 as a Technical Coordinator over a group of clinics with Presbyterian/Novant Health. I found out that the cancer returned in August 2000 and proceeded to undergo a harder round of chemo, a stem cell transplant, and radiation. I am still rebuilding from the health care problems that arose from the last treatments. I am taking this time to enjoy being involved with my husband, Rob, and my two sons, Jacob,7, and Joel,4. My CLS training helped me and my doctor to diagnose a problem and get treatment sooner–I have learned that you need to take the quality of your healthcare in your own hands.”
