Dr. Harrop is awarded 5-year NICHD award to study early sex specific trajectories in ASD

Dr. Harrop presents on sex differences in autism at Eastern AHEC 2021 Conference

Dr. Harrop presented her research on sex differences in autism at the Eastern AHEC (Area Health Education Center) autism conference in May 2021. Dr. Harrop’s talk was attended by a range of health professionals, including speech therapists, social workers, and psychologists.  

Orla has UNC Graduate School Leadership Development Scholars Program proposal funded

Orla and two other SPHS doctoral students had their project proposal funded through the UNC Graduate School’s Leadership Development Scholars Program. In Spring 2021, they will facilitate group readings and discussions with graduate students and faculty through their program. 

NC TraCS Stakeholder Engagement Project Funded

Dr. Harrop, together with Dr. Julie Austen (FPG) were recently awarded an NC TraCS Stakeholder Engagement Award to work with neurodiverse youth and clinicians/community organizations that serve them to work towards a more inclusive model of care. We are excited to get this important project up and running.
