Kathryn Pier earned a master’s degree in health administration from Queens University of Charlotte and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from East Carolina University. Kathryn is a certified professional in health system quality, certified six sigma green belt from NC State University and a trained UNC Kaizen Coach. She has been working in healthcare quality improvement for more than eight years where she has supported quality improvement projects, strategy planning and deployment, leadership coaching, and implementation of a management system. Kathryn serves as faculty for ECPI, educating associate degree nursing students in the clinic setting. She values continuous improvement while empowering others to live through their strengths.
Kathryn is starting in her new role as IHQI’s Director on Monday, October 30.
