James Kussman joined the IHQI team after spending several years working within the Division of Nursing at UNCMC. While there, he was a part of several projects addressing operational efficiency, supporting improved clinical workflows, and showcasing organizational quality such as Magnet Reaccreditation and the Bed Restack project.
He has a BA in History from NC State University and an MHA from Appalachian State University. James brings a solid project management background to the team and endeavors to enhance the work experience of the clinical partners we support every day. With a lean six sigma yellow belt and focus on leveraging data, he is excited to learn more QI processes and undergo coaching training to effect continued change within the organization
