Josh Hinson is Director of Relational Leadership @ Carolina, a human-centered and transformational leadership development program of the UNC Provost’s Office of Interprofessional Education and Practice that is designed to foster inclusive, equitable work and learning environments. Josh began partnering with Intend Health Strategies in 2019, when he participated in UNC-Chapel Hill’s pilot Relational Leadership Institute cohort. Prior to assuming the position of Director of RL@C, Josh served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the UNC School of Social Work, where he was Director and Principal Investigator for the UNC Global Transmigration – Refugee Mental Health and Wellness Initiative, a research project designed to assess the need for, feasibility, and acceptability of mental health services for refugees in North Carolina. The project began contracting with the North Carolina State Refugee Office in 2015 to provide mental health services to refugees in Orange, Durham and Wake Counties, and expanded to include refugees and immigrants across the state.
